Overview
Installed approximately 200 metres above the city, the Grosvenor Place digital sky sign is one of Octopus’s most technically demanding projects. The display follows the subtle curve of the rooftop façade and presents large-format brand content without creating a solid visual barrier across the architecture.
Engineering and installation had to account for the existing solar-panel array, wind exposure, rooftop access and the alignment of multiple transparent LED strips across the curved elevation. The project took approximately three years from design development to completed construction.
Project Highlights
- Curved transparent LED format developed for the tower geometry.
- Rooftop engineering for wind, access and existing services.
- Installation coordinated around an operating solar-panel array.
- Large-scale content visible across the Sydney skyline.
