The correct system depends on viewing distance, ambient light, screen dimensions, structural conditions, wind exposure, power and data access, operating hours and the way the screen will be serviced. Octopus assesses these requirements before recommending cabinet construction, pixel pitch, brightness and access.

Brightness must be matched to the display orientation and the amount of direct and reflected daylight at the site. A shaded facade and a west-facing screen can require very different specifications. We specify the screen around the actual environment rather than relying on one brightness figure for every project.

Pixel pitch is selected from the closest normal viewing distance, content type, screen size and budget. A screen viewed from a nearby pedestrian area usually needs a finer pitch than a large display viewed from a road or stadium seating.
